Manny Ramirez has been traded from the Boston Red Sox to a team called the Dodgers, the hype and hope of Britney & Barack

__________________________________________________________________________________________

WOW - MANNY RAMIREZ, the once endearing Manny Ramirez, has been traded from the Boston Red Sox to the Los Angeles Dodgers! This is gigantic news in all of baseball. American League teams will likely be glad that such an excellent hitter is gone. The Red Sox got Jason Bay from the Pittsburgh Pirates,a very good player but not a Hall of Famer, or one who does not yet have Hall of Fame numbers. The Red Sox sadly also gave up two good young players - Brandon Moss and Craig Hansen - in order to get rid of Ramirez and get Bay.

This is a monumental event for Red Sox Nation (God's Team). It's a shame that a guy who has been paid $20 million for the last 8 years would be such a troubled and troubling "pain in the ass" player with such a bad attitude. It seems like the Red Sox did not do that well - to lose The Problem, and two good young players, and only get one very good player in exchange - but this is one of those "addition by subtraction" issues.

Good riddance to Manny. Hopefully the Red Sox will be better for the rest of the season as a result of this afternoon's trauma and shock.

In the rest of my life, the carpenter is doing a great job, thus far, I've found some very nice indoor climate controlled storage, I've replaced my 1 Tb Apple Time Capsule with a 1 Tb Apple Time Capsule, I've reconnected with old friends in LinkedIn and Facebook, and I'm thinking I'll vote for Barack Obama because he has so much in common with Britney Spears and Paris Hilton (oh, ah, the appeal of these three attractive tall blonde women!).

Why would one vote for anyone who was not famous? Without hype there is no hope....

Michelle Obama and the Brady Bunch, John McCain and Britney Barack envy

___________________________________________________________________________________________

I READ THIS NY TIMES ARTICLE about Barack Obama as a law professor. The strangest tidbit in it is that his wife Michelle, the co-terrorist fist bumper (as Fox News suggested), is a devout Brady Bunch fan.

The anti-Barack stuff coming from the McCain'ers is so odd. It seems as if they resent him for being extremely popular and charismatic. One of the new commercials shows Britney Spears, followed by Paris Hilton, followed by Obama. The McCain crowd should really be ashamed as they are sinking lower and seem bitter, old, sidetracked and silly.

Back to my moving stuff. The carpenter comes tomorrow, the painter and the thrift store people next week. And then magically I move to New Jersey.

Still steroid free and smiling,

E. Michael

A General Time Horizon? Not a timetable, but a general time horizon

___________________________________________________________________________________________

IT IS AMAZING THAT GEORGE BUSH has agreed to "A GENERAL TIME HORIZON" to withdraw American troops from Iraq. "A general time horizon?" Bush and McCain have frequently ridiculed Obama for wanting to have a timetable to withdraw American troops. Well, Obama's thinking has won out as this very poorly conceived phrase, "a time horizon," for withdrawing troops is "a timetable" for withdrawing troops. This reminds me of a similar change President Nixon had to invoke when he had to withdraw a lie after being caught. Nixon claimed that the dishonest statement was now "inoperative."

What is on the "time horizon?" Is the "time horizon" reachable? An horizon as I know it - looking outward to where the sky and land seem to meet - is unreachable. Are horizons really reachable and I've just not figured this out? Will "time horizon" catch on? Will "time horizon" find its way into the/any vernacular?

Sadly, many will likely not be concerned that this administration has lied again.

Something at FOX-TV must be wrong for I've seen no mention of THE REVEREND JEREMIAH WRIGHT, his campaign for President or his push to make the United States a MUSLIM/ISLAMO-FASCIST nation under the rule of Barack Obama.

And why won't FOX-TV continue covering the dangerous TERRORIST FIST BUMP?

You Tube How Tube, J. D. Drew, moving to Pompton Lakes to be near Trader Joe's

____________________________________________________________________________________________

HOW DO YOU MOVE from one state to another state? I've gotten a lot of ideas from friends and contractors. But in 2008, isn't YouTube always the way to get an answer and/or demonstration of anything? Here's one "how-to" move video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WY6Vh-aXN6A&feature=related

Isn't that nice? These people are to home improvement stuff as Artists House Music is to music business stuff. (Another self-serving message from one stuck in his now clean, painted and improved house.)

I've also joined Angie's List, checked out Consumer Reports, the Better Business Bureau, epinion.com, the Egyptian Book of the Dead, Girls Gone Wild in Kabul video series and anything else that pours through Internet Tube 63 here in middle Tennessee.

And my friends in New Jersey have been extremely helpful, so helpful that I now have a residence beginning on August 15. I will be in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, floating on a modest lily pad. No, actually I will be just down the road from a TRADER JOE's, the one on Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne, New Jersey, and that Trader Joe's will be on my short commute to and from William Paterson University. Life is great - time for pagans to offer thanks to the appropriate gods, as there is life in Pompton Lakes, Trader Joe's and an enthusiastic employer in my immediate future.

THE MOVING QUOTES I've received from three companies have been between $1,300 and $5,800. That of course will lead me to watch more YouTube How-Tube videos, eat yesterday's salmon, panic, water my 10 new bushes, book more flights, pack more boxes, discard more stuff and laugh at the speed at which my life is changing.

A few of my other thoughts.....

I will not wait for one hour to be able to speak at an Apple Store employee to get a new iPhone. Yesterday, the wait in Nashville was between 60 and 90 minutes for the opportunity to TALK to an AS employee. I'll get an iPhone later.

John McCain looked very uncomfortable speaking to the NAACP yesterday. Being that lily (pad) white and having voted against the MLK holiday did not help.

J. D. Drew of the Boston Red Sox was the MVP in the 2008 All Star Game. As always, I am a proud Red Sox fan.

I've found an excellent painter, and excellent landscaper. Come by my house for proof. Now, I need a carpenter, an aggregate cleaner and sealer, and a haul-it-away guy.

Annuit Coeptis until we meet again.

The Declaration of Independence and July 2

_________________________________________________________________________________________

I HATE MOVING. But I love that my house is getting louder as the objects disappear and the hardwood floors and hard tiles (that break anything in their way) are doing their non-sound-absorbing thing and are making the house louder and more fun.

I need a good landscaper. I've got the world's best painter and will employ him again in two weeks for the final work. But, finding a landscaper is damn hard.

And I still don't know the specifics of my move - where I am going, how am I getting my stuff there, what stuff is going there, what stuff is going to my office... Add to that more questions only using the words, "WHEN," and "HOW," and the anxiety resumes.

I know that my mailing address will be:

EMH
Music Dept.
William Paterson University
300 Pompton Rd.
Wayne, NJ 07470

And I am fairly certain that I will ditch my landline and use my cell phone from now on. Well, by "now on," I am referring to the day I buy the new iPhone and begin that service (some time this month).

I LOVE JULY 4TH. I might love July 2 even more as that is the day when Thomas Jefferson finished writing the great document, our Declaration of Independence from Britain and the extreme tyrant named, George. George, the Bastard, George, the Evil No Good Dirty Filthy Rotten Bastard Despot. As always, I will read the declaration of Independence on July 2 and July 4 and give thanks to our Kind, Wonderful and All-Benevolent Creator for being born in the People's Republik of Cambridge and not in England or some other monarchy. Well, now the U. S. is temporarily not as a great a country because of that other Despot named George and Dick the Master of Puppets. But this should change in November.

I finished my master's thesis on July 2. I had to work extremely hard to finish it by this self imposed deadline. I wanted it to be my best work and to honor Jefferson's best work in the process.

THIS IS A REALLY GREAT EXCERPT FROM THE UNITED STATES DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE.
I made two very small changes. Other than that, it is an exact copy:

George Walker Bush has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.

He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.

He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Dick Cheney, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.
