Carl Chew, flying with few delays and settling for much less, the Red Sox have won 5 in a row, proud to be Vista-less

I HAVE NEW HERO - CARL CHEW, a middle school science teacher who refused to administer a standardized test that is required by law.

I still fly too much and am still doing too much. Today's flight from Queens to Nashville was better than ever mainly because I flew during a sunny day and not early in the morning or late at night, the flight was only 15 minutes late leaving the gate, we only had to taxi for 40 minutes at LaGuardia before we could take off (not like the 90 minutes it can take during the U. S. Open - planes cannot fly over serious people who play serious tennis), and I had seat 14 F on a 737 (the window seat in an exit row - as good as it gets). And it was sunny and beautiful from above.

Hillary and Bill Clinton are continuing in their "victory at any price" nasty political campaign. Karl Rove must be proud as personal smears and trivia (imagine a politician suggesting that people in an old rust belt state that has lost over 1/4 million manufacturing jobs since G. W. Bush became President, could be, "BITTER!") are being elevated to such lofty heights. I hope that Hillary's victory tomorrow is less than 6% (I think she'll win by 7%).

THE BASEBALL SEASON is off to an excellent start with the Boston Red Sox on a five-game win streak. My very practical and deep-seated superstitious nature with respect to Boston sports now forces me to stop thinking this way.

Life's going well and my plans to develop some better ways of using time should soon result in some good news. If things work out right, I'll be able to celebrate sometime next month.

I love the Mac and have great empathy for those afflicted with VISTA.

PEACE and GOOD WILL, even to the Clintons......
