Brevard Music Center, BCOME 2007, Gelf Magazine

I AM IN BREVARD, NORTH CAROLINA speaking at BCOME 2007. Most of us ate and drank last night at the superb Hob Nob as we had last year before BCOME began.
The ride from Nashville was beautiful and the Smoky Mountains are great although with occasional heavy rain and the very narrow windy I-40, it can be more of a challenge than a panoramic thing. The hotel - this terrible Holiday Inn Express - is 2,004 ft. above sea level. The best things I can say about this place are:
There's an elliptical machine in the workout room
The continental breakfast includes bananas
No one broke into my car last night
This is not Iraq or Darfur

The other stuff (all bad):
I'm in a smoking room. How can Americans in 2007 smoke?
I touched the curtain last night and it came off/fell down
The coffee is very weak and serves only to make the water lukewarm and slightly brown. I guess I'll have to do the desperate - drink a Diet Coke as caffeine must be had
The television requires a special mojo in order to turn it on

This morning I woke to find this article on music copyright infringement for which I was interviewed by Gelf Magazine.

It's time to go to the Brevard Music Center.
I'm in a haiku way. I'll need to write stuff somewhere. Maybe I need some spray cans of paint.....
